I'm Pez, co-founder and CTO of Tebura. We're building luggage transfer for European travellers, takkyūbin-style. Benelux first, then Paris and the Ruhr.
12+ years building SaaS at scale before Tebura: a long run at Harvest, then FlowFuse (billing, deployment pipelines), CytoLearn (medtech co-founder/CTO), and two years of feature, reliability, and compliance engineering at a 1M-DAU social network. Most recent production work has been in TypeScript and Vue on the front, Ruby on Rails and Node.js on the back.
At Tebura the job is full-stack in both senses: writing production code, leading an AI-assisted team, and making the calls that determine whether the platform holds up in two years.
About
Day-to-day I'm in TypeScript and Vue.js on the front, Ruby on Rails and Node.js on the back, with LLM-driven tooling baked into the daily loop. Recent work has covered age verification at 1M-DAU scale, billing and deployment infrastructure for an open-source SaaS platform, and end-to-end medtech systems certified to ISO 13485.
Active in open source. Most day-to-day work lives in private repos, but contributions and side projects are at github.com/Pezmc.
Outside Tebura I'm on the leadership team at Electromagnetic Field (a UK maker festival, 2018-now, event operations lead). Earlier I founded Great Uni Hack at Manchester. Won PayPal's BattleHack London in 2015 and represented the UK at the world final in San Francisco. I performed in the Industrial Revolution section of the 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony. It's a long story.
Alongside Tebura I take on select lead and CTO-level SaaS engagements via Peg Productions BV. Tebura is early-stage, so this stays narrow: small remote teams working on regulated products, billing systems, or high-traffic Rails/JS platforms. Get in touch.
In free time I travel, host events, and build things. Side projects live at labs.pez.io. Currently based in Leuven, Belgium.

Engineering leadership
12+ years building SaaS. Founder/CTO experience at Tebura and CytoLearn. Set hiring standards, owned architecture decisions, and still write production code.
-
Production engineering
Still write production code daily. Sharpest at TypeScript/Vue.js on the front, Rails/Node on the back. Recent work at scale: 1M-DAU social network, regulated medtech, OSS billing infrastructure.
-
AI-first execution
Practical LLM usage in production teams: AI-assisted coding workflows, agent-driven prototyping, and tooling that lets a small team ship at the pace of a larger one without sacrificing review quality or reliability.

Senior Engineer (via Peg Productions BV) · 1M-DAU Social Network
Multi-year engagement on a high-traffic Rails/Vue/Postgres codebase. Production engineering at a scale where every change has to be backwards-compatible and observable.
- Designed and built the platform's age-verification system end-to-end. Covers UK Online Safety Act and US state-level requirements, AI modelling, vendor integration, identity-verification flows, compliance logging, and the user-facing UX.
- Feature work, reliability, and performance across the user-facing product.
- Worked across a Rails/JS stack serving roughly 1M daily / 2M monthly active users.
-
Senior Software Engineer · FlowFuse (formerly FlowForge)
Open-source SaaS platform for reliably deploying Node-RED applications.
- Built Stripe billing, deployment pipelines, and instance-management workflows.
- Upskilled the team across frontend (Vue), CI tooling, testing, QA, and design patterns.
- Worked across React, Node.js, and Tailwind in a small, fast-moving remote team.
-

-
Software Engineer · Harvest
6+ years across Harvest's two products: Harvest (time tracking, invoicing, reporting for small businesses) and Forecast (team scheduling).
- Rebuilt the Invoices Overview section end-to-end, including D3 visualisations and animations, still in production today.
- Rebuilt build pipelines and test infrastructure; meaningfully reduced CI time and day-to-day developer friction across both products.
- Migrated legacy sections to modern stacks (Rails, React, Node.js, Ember).
-
